Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 BT Desktop System Announced
Klipsch has announced the updated ProMedia 2.1 BT powered speaker system giving your home office desk an upgrade.
The Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 BT adds wireless Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity to the American brand's desktop system that boasts a pair of powered stereo speakers and an acoustically matched powered subwoofer.
Naturally, for a company renown for its horn-loaded speaker technology, each ProMedia 2.1 BT satellite houses an 8cm Klipsch MicroTractrix horn mid-bass driver directly below the 19mm PEI (polyetherimide) tweeter. As well as Bluetooth, there's a 3.5mm aux input.
Additionally, the pair of 21.59cm x 10.67cm x 14.4cm satellite speakers are bolstered by the included 17cm side-firing, ported subwoofer to create a sound system that is significantly greater than the sum of its compact parts, says Klipsch.
The ProMedia 2.1 BT powers along with up to 200 watts of dynamic power on tap and not only promises to add some excitement to your computer set-up for gaming or music streaming but could just as easily handle boxset binges. Overall frequency response is quoted as 35Hz-22kHz with the satellites crossing over at 3.5kHz.
The Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 BT is available in the UK, priced £280 SRP. The system is currently offered for purchase online, complete with a choice of home delivery or click & collect.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
