KLIPSCH T5 SERIES EARPHONES NOW AVAILABLE

Klipsch has announced its T5 series of earphones are now available in Australia and they've got you covered whether you're the sporty type, neckband fan, a wired wonder or prefer to go truly wireless.

The new series of earphones consists of four new designs. You can expect up to 32 hours of wireless play from the T5 True Wireless which will please the travellers. Meanwhile, T5 Sport enables a super-secure fit for cardio workouts, while the T5 Neckband offers a compelling mix of form and function, and finally, the T5 M Wired concentrates on maximising sound performance.

Klipsch T5 True Wireless

The Klipsch T5 True Wireless earphones ($349 RRP) states its coolness before even being heard, thanks to their 'Zippo style' carry case.

That case isn't just there to look good though, as the protective container holds 24 hours of charge and supports USB-C for speedy recharging.

Sporting Bluetooth 5 with built-in aptX, the T5 True Wireless also stores eight hours of battery life so, along with the charging case, you get 32 hours of high-quality playtime without need for a juice stop.

Hands-free calling will be hassle-free thanks to the four integrated mics with cVc (clear voice chat) technology.

The T5 True Wireless boasts patented oval ear tips, which Klipsch says offers excellent noise isolation, superior bass and reduction in-ear fatigue. Also worth noting is the new Klipsch true wireless buds are sweat and water-resistant to IPX4 standard.

Klipsch T5 Sport

The Klipsch T5 Sport ($169 RRP) is aimed at active types, so a secure fit is a must. Klipsch's patented oval ear tips already enable a super-snug fit, but the T5 Sport adds smart cable management – choose from down and loose or tighten the cord and employ the ear wings – to further lock-down your buds.

The pack also contains a pair of COMPLY TS-100 Comfort tips, so you get another option to achieve the best possible fit.

The battery is said to be good for up to ten hours of tunes and calls, and you also get the benefit of built-in aptX and aptX HD Bluetooth 5 support; the latter supports 48 kHz / 24bit LPCM audio. Furthermore, there's a multi-point pairing, so you can simultaneously pair two devices.

Naturally, you get the T5 range's integrated cVc mic, IPX4 rated sweat and water resistance.

Finally, there will be further features available via the upcoming Klipsch Connect App.

Klipsch T5 Neckband

The Bluetooth-equipped Klipsch T5 Neckband ($199 RRP) delivers the reassurance of Bluetooth buds connected to a wire, together with the feel of hand-stitched, edge-treated leather.

The T5 Neckband boasts up to 15 hours of listening time along with a built-in neck vibration feature that notifies you of incoming calls. Those calls will be crystal clear thanks to the cVc dual mics.

In line with its T5 Sport sibling, the T5 Neckband employs Bluetooth 5 complete with built-in support for aptX HD, rates IPX4, and works with the forthcoming Klipsch Connect App.

Klipsch T5 M Wired

With the absence of wireless tech and sports-level fittings, it'd be tempting to dismiss the Klipsch T5 M Wired ($99 RRP) as a bit of a relic. However, when it comes to sound-per-pound, these buds are hard to beat.

Thanks to the T5 Series' dynamic moving coil micro-speaker driver design, along with its maker's patented oval ear tips, Klipsch are confident that they're on to a winner.

Add IPX4 rating plus a single-button mic/remote and the T5 M Wired easily looks every bit as compelling as the rest of the new Klipsch earphone collective.

All four new models in the Klipsch T5 Series are available now.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
