Klipsch The Nines & The Sevens Hi-Res Powered Monitors Announced
The Sevens and The Nines are Klipsch's new, larger, hi-res capable, powered loudspeaker offerings.
Klipsch's The Nines and The Sevens powered monitors join the Applause Award-winning The Fives in the company's Heritage Wireless series of speakers.
The Nines and The Sevens promise room-filling sound thanks to a built-in bi-amplifier custom-engineered to maximise output and sound quality, says the brand. Furthermore, they feature 192kHz / 24-bit decoding and a range of connectivity options, including HDMI-ARC for your TV and an integrated phono pre-amp for a turntable.
Additionally, there is digital optical, analogue RCA, USB inputs and a subwoofer output alongside Bluetooth wireless tech. Klipsch The Nines and The Sevens are bi-amplified for improved clarity and output.
Meanwhile, the Klipsch Connect App allows you to customise EQ and subwoofer volume settings. Also, access to dynamic bass, night listening mode, over-the-air firmware upgrades, a digital quick-start guide, and more.
Klipsch The Nines and The Sevens feature 1-inch titanium tweeters on Tractrix horns. The former pairs this with an all-new 8-inch longthrow high excursion composite cone woofer and 240W of total power, and the latter combines 200W and a 6.5-inch woofer with the horn tweeter.
Both powered monitors benefit from real wood veneer and tactile metal switches and knobs designed to blend the acoustics and classic design legacy of Paul W. Klipsch with the latest technologies available today.
The speakers will be available in Walnut and Black veneer in the new year, priced at £1,499 (The Sevens) and £1,849 (The Nines).

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
