Métronome Technologie Announces All-new Digital Sharing Centre

Métronome Technologie has announced its all-new DSC streaming DAC featuring pre-amplifier know-how from Leedh.

Métronome's DSC might have a familiar fascia but, behind that, everything has been updated and upgraded, according to the French high-end audio brand.

Digital Sharing is what Métronome calls streaming, and its new Digital Sharing Centre boasts 32 bits / 384 kHz dual-mono resolution and will decode PCM files and DSD up to 512 through the DAC  DSCthe new streaming board accepts all types of audio files up to DSD256.

The DSC can be managed with any DLNA/UPnP apps, but the manufacturer recommends mConnect as it embeds the likes of Qobuz, Tidal, Spotify, Deezer, and vTuner for internet radio. Métronome's familiar 5-inch touchscreen display remains up front.

The digital pre-amp results from a partnership with Leedh Processing and is fully lossless, only modifying the signal amplitude without any further changes.

Jean Marie Clauzel, Owner and Designer of Metronome Technologie, told StereoNET:

Our Digital Sharing range has grown in popularity, showing that our choice to move the company to streaming was the right one. Plug-and-play, easy to use and stable, this is what we want with all our products, but as everyone knows, the famous Métronome sound will always remain our first priority.

The USB type B is good for PCM and DSD at 44.1 to 384 kHz. There are also RCA and XLR analogue outputs.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories.
