New Pro-Ject PEANUTS Turntable Celebrates 75th Anniversary

Snoopy spins vinyl while Charlie Brown takes a bow—Pro-Ject’s latest limited-edition turntable is a tribute to 75 years of PEANUTS and the enduring charm of Schulz’s iconic comic strip.

At this year’s High End Munich, Pro-Ject Audio Systems brought a dose of joyful nostalgia to the show floor with the debut of its latest Artist Collection model: the PEANUTS Turntable. Celebrating 75 years of Charles M. Schulz’s iconic comic strip, the special edition model was a standout attraction at the Pro-Ject stand, drawing smiles from audio enthusiasts and PEANUTS fans alike.

Developed in collaboration with Peanuts Worldwide, the new deck features a custom plinth decorated with music-themed comic strip artwork and a striking Charlie Brown-shaped acrylic record plate that sits directly atop its precision glass platter. Pro-Ject says this limited release is a tribute to Schulz’s enduring cultural legacy and the lasting connection between music and visual storytelling.

The turntable itself is based on Pro-Ject’s acclaimed T1 BT platform, chosen for its balance of affordability and high-fidelity performance. While the visual appeal is obvious, the PEANUTS Turntable is far from a novelty piece. It features an 8.6-inch one-piece aluminium tonearm, designed for precision tracking with minimal resonance. It comes factory-fitted with an Ortofon OM 10 moving magnet cartridge—a quality pickup known for its balanced, detailed sound.

Under the surface, a heavy 8mm blasted-glass platter sits atop an anti-resonant sub-platter system, ensuring rotational stability and smooth playback. The motor assembly is anchored by a stainless-steel/brass bearing for durability and quiet operation. A built-in phono stage with switchable line and phono outputs makes integrating the deck into various systems easy, while a Bluetooth transmitter allows wireless streaming to compatible speakers or headphones.

Like all Pro-Ject turntables, this limited-edition model is handmade in Europe. Its solid construction avoids hollow spaces and plastic components, with vibration-damping feet rounding out a design that’s as technically sound as it is fun.

The PEANUTS Turntable joins a growing list of Pro-Ject Artist Collection collaborations, which have included decks themed around AC/DC, The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine, and Pink Floyd’s iconic Dark Side of the Moon. These collectible turntables offer a unique fusion of visual culture and analog audio, each aimed at connecting fans of music, design, and pop history through a shared passion for vinyl.

The Pro-Ject PEANUTS Turntable is available through authorised Pro-Ject dealers at £579 / €599, but fans will need to move fast—this one’s a limited-edition release. Or, to borrow a familiar Schulz-ism: don’t be the Charlie Brown who misses the football—grab it while you can.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
