OPTOMA CHANGES THE GAME WITH P1 4K LASER ULTRA SHORT THROW PROJECTOR

Optoma has announced its P1 Smart 4K UHD Laser Ultra Short Throw Projector that will land in Australia in October this year.

The game-changing projector combines the best advancements in AV tech and promises to revolutionise the home-cinema experience, but big-screen TV viewing in general.

Optoma's P1 integrates 4K ultra high definition resolution with an ultra-short throw distance that can project a 100" image from just 10" distance from the wall. Combine this with a laser light source rated to 20,000 hours lifetime and 3,000 Laser Diode Lumens, and you start to wonder if TV panel manufacturers should start getting worried.

The P1 also offers an inbuilt premium NuForce soundbar, eliminating the need to purchase additional external speakers. The NuForce soundbar features individual woofers, as well as aluminium full-range drivers and isolated speaker enclosures.

The NuForce soundbar also offers Dolby Digital Plus audio decoding capabilities, bringing immersive viewing experiences to life. Connectivity also abounds, allowing you to play music wirelessly from a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth.

Optoma's latest Smart+ features include Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice control capabilities and IFTTT support, delivering seamless home automation with other smart devices as well as easy access to popular streaming services, including Netflix and YouTube.

The ultimate all-in-one projector, Optoma's P1 marries cutting edge technology with high style to transform the home-cinema experience.

The Optoma P1 Smart 4K Laser UHD Projector will be available in Australia in October and will sell for $7,999 RRP.

Optoma will be exhibiting at the 2019 StereoNET Melbourne Hi-Fi Show in the State Ballroom, October 18-20. Tickets on sale now.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
