Pro-Ject's Colourful Audio System 2 and Colourful Audio System E aim to make it easier than ever to enjoy stereo sound, with each system featuring a turntable, amplifier, and stereo speakers.
Well-matched separates systems – composed of a source, an amplifier, and a pair of stereo speakers – remain popular thanks to their incredibly lifelike and hugely enjoyable listening experience. However, assembling the right components can feel overwhelming, especially when a turntable is involved. The Colourful Audio System 2 and Colourful Audio System E break down this barrier by providing expertly curated combinations of high-quality components, making authentic stereo sound and the enduring wonder of vinyl immediately accessible. The only thing you have to decide is which colour you prefer.
Everything – including a cartridge and the necessary cables – arrives in one box for easy setup. The promised result is "specialist hi-fi performance" without the complexity and the flexibility to upgrade over time.
The Colourful Audio System 2 comprises the Applause Award-winning pairing of a Debut EVO 2 turntable and MaiA S3 amplifier, along with a pair of Speaker Box 5 S2 bookshelf speakers. The set also includes Pro-Ject's Damp-it rubber feet for optimal isolation of the speakers from the turntable and a pair of terminated Connect it LS E speaker cables.
The MaiA amp comes in black, and the turntable and speakers are available in six satin finishes (Black, Fir Green, Golden Yellow, Steel Blue, White, and Wine Red), with Wine Red being exclusive to this system, as well as a Walnut real wood veneer.
Meanwhile, The Colourful Audio System E pairs the Debut E turntable with the Stereo Box E amplifier and Speaker Box 5 E Carbon bookshelf speakers.
Pro-Ject designed the Debut E turntable specifically for this package, and it is only available as part of the Colourful Audio System E. The new deck features a solid MDF plinth, aluminium tonearm, and Ortofon OM5e cartridge, while the Stereo Box E amplifier ticks off 40W per channel, six inputs, and Bluetooth streaming. The Speaker Box 5 E Carbon speakers feature a silk dome tweeter paired with a carbon fibre woofer for precise, dynamic sound. Like its counterpart, the Colourful Audio System E offers a choice of satin finishes (Black, Fir Green, Golden Yellow, Steel Blue, and White) plus a Walnut veneer option, with the amplifier finished in black.
