The two new models are based on research and development work carried out by the Canadian National Research Centre (NRC). According to PSB, NRC's support helped create the "most natural sounding" speakers ever. PSB has previously worked with the NRC in its product development.

The Synchrony T600 is a three-way floor standing speaker with cabinets divided into four chambers and an IsoAcoustics GAIA II decoupling base. The speaker uses three 6.5-inch woofers, one 5.25-inch midrange driver and a one-inch tweeter with ferrofluid cooling and neodymium magnets. The midrange and woofers feature carbon fibre cones and die-cast aluminium baskets.

The emitter array is controlled by a fourth-order Linkwitz-Riley filter with high voltage capacitors and oxygen-free wiring. T600 cabinets are made of MDF and padded with aluminium for maximum durability. The enclosure also features rear-firing ports for each of the woofers.

The smaller B600 is a two-way bass-reflex bookshelf with one 6.5-inch woofer and a one-inch titanium tweeter. According to the company, the speaker design and drivers are designed for high sound pressure levels without compression or distortion. Like the bigger sibling model, the B600 has an aluminium insert in the front and a custom base from IsoAcoustics.

We first heard about the collaboration between IsoAcoustics and PSB Speakers in early 2020 when PSB Founder Paul Barton had been so impressed by IsoAcoustics' achievements. He said at the time he aimed to bring the two brands together to offer "a number of upcoming PSB Speakers that will feature integrated IsoAcoustics isolation technology."
Both models will be available in natural wood finishes and high-gloss lacquer. Expected to go on sale from June 2021, with the T600 priced at $7,999/pair, while the B600 will be $2,499/pair. We are awaiting confirmed UK pricing.
