Sitting between the Fono and Aura Reference models in the company's line-up, it is easy to spot that this latest Aria iteration wears the latest in Rega chic, bringing it in line with the Aethos amplifier and Planar 10 power supply. 

The Rega Aria MK3 is compatible with both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges. Each stage boasts its own input sockets and pre-amplifier circuitry, enabling Rega to design bespoke circuitry for each, running off their own sub-power supply. 

The MC section utilises uses parallel connected, low noise FET's (Field Effect Transistor's) configured as a compound pair with the spec sheet stating a resistive input loading between 70ohms and 400ohms. Also, we're told that capacitive loading ranges between 1000pF and 4200pF. The Aria MK3's MC settings will be factory preset for all Rega MC cartridges such as the Aphelion 2 and Apheta 3.

Meanwhile, the MM input uses low noise, bipolar input transistors also configured as a compound pair. Additionally, there are separate power supplies for each channel and further sub-power supplies for each of the low noise input circuits. Nichicon FG electrolytic capacitors can be found in what Rega states as being "critical positions" throughout the power supplies.

Also, Polypropylene capacitors have been used in the signal path and equalisation networks. Discrete circuitry is used throughout the signal path ensuring full control of the circuit design. 

The Rega Aria MK3 is expected to sell in Australia for $1,999 RRP, but pricing will be confirmed when they land in a few month's time, according to the local Rega distributor, Synergy Audio Visual.
