Revival Audio Adds Atalante 7 Evo to Line-Up

Revival Audio states that the Atalante 7 Évo promises "a new era of acoustic refinement."
The 7 Évo, according to Revival Audio, becomes the statement model in the Atalante family as it "embodies both heritage and evolution, setting new standards in high-fidelity performance."
The new 3-way large standmounter (820x456x480 mm [HxWxD] without stand) features a refined RASC Évo soft-dome tweeter, upgraded RASC Évo soft-dome midrange, and newly developed high-end 15-inch BSC woofer, which the French brand boasts is a first in high-end hi-fi.
The new Atalante 7 Évo claims a 90dB/2.83V/1-metre sensitivity and 6-ohm nominal impedance, which should mean it pairs effortlessly with a wide range of amplifiers. Thanks to the "advanced woofer and cabinet design," we are told to expect a "balanced sound signature" with "deep, impactful bass," all resulting in "extended, fatigue-free listening" across its claimed 23Hz – 24kHz (-6dB) frequency response.
The 28mm RASC Évo Tweeter is said to benefit from a pure aluminium voice coil and patented ARID technology. The Anti Resonance Inner Dome absorbs 97%+ of internal resonance, eliminating distortion for cleaner, more accurate highs. Meanwhile, the "specially made" Tetoron dome is custom-coated for smoother response and fatigue-free, natural treble. This is powered by a Neodymium magnet system and improved cooling via an aluminium back chamber and ventilated back plate.
The 75mm RASC Évo Midrange is blessed by ARID+ tech and a powerful high-BL motor. The dual-suspension dome ensures linear movement across all frequencies, reducing distortion and improving clarity and articulation. Copper-clad aluminium wire and shorting ring are said to lower distortion, enhance transient response, and improve micro-dynamics. The aluminium back chamber and tri-zone resonance control absorbs unwanted energy and improve cooling. The ventilated back plate and diffuser enhance airflow and reduce compression.
Rounding things off and delivering deep, powerful, and controlled bass, the 15-inch BSC (Basalt Sandwich Construction) Woofer promises exceptional low-frequency extension, precision, and impact, filling the room with effortless dynamics.
It has an oversized 3-inch voice coil for enhanced power handling, transient response, and long-term stability. This is partnered by a 10mm linear excursion and high-roll surround for low-end articulation.
The hand-tuned crossover assigns duties at 340Hz and 2.25kHz and features high-quality air coils and an all-pass filter topology, the latter of which is said to enhance acoustic phase coherence. Internal wiring is courtesy of Van den Hul's Skyline.
It's a looker, too, with what the company proclaims as a "harmonious blend of elegance and engineering." Revival did have some help in that regard, as Atalante7 Évo was designed in collaboration with the Parisian award-winning A+A Cooren Studio.
The cabinet, engineered for maximum rigidity, resonance control, and pure sound reproduction, is available in Walnut and Ebony veneer. It features an AeroVex aluminium flanged port and is partnered by an attractive isolation stand with micro-adjustable spikes for optimal levelling and premium isolation pads.
Decoupling spikes between the cabinet and stand fully isolates the speaker from the stand, minimising vibration transfer and preserving clarity and detail.
The Revival Audio Atalante 7 Évo is available now priced at €9,390/ £9,390. We are awaiting confirmed pricing in other territories.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
