Ruark R3 Teased

Ruark is preparing to launch its latest all-in-one, the R3.
Set for a summer launch, Ruark is currently teasing visitors to its website with a tantalising glimpse at the R3.
The British brand's latest all-in-one audio system will, as its name suggests, slot neatly into the gap left by the Ruark R2, R4, R5 and MRx. Additionally, that means we can expect an asking price of between the R2 streamer's £400 and the £650 for the R4 streaming CD player - would £525 make sense?
Ruark R3 Released - All The Details
The little bit of leg shown in the teaser shot indicates that the Ruark R3 will follow the brand's DNA, such as wooden casework with pleasantly rounded corners, and a bright, central LED screen sat between tastefully speckled grey tweed cloth grilles. The R3 also looks to sit upon shiny metallic feet that rakes the system up at an angle.
Ruark tells us that "R3 takes all that's good from our award-winning R2 and R4 models in a compact music system that will exceed your expectations." also that we can expect a "compact design, expansive sound".
If all that has piqued your interest, you can head over the Ruark R3 landing page and register your interest. We hope to have more details before the summer launch.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
