Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 Earbuds and More Shown at CES 2024
Following the success of its Momentum True Wireless 3 earbuds and Sennheiser Accentum Wireless headphones, Sennheiser is back with more at CES 2024.
The new Momentum True Wireless 4 earbuds now run on Bluetooth 5.4, which brings Auracast support. Additionally, the antenna design has been overhauled, so we can expect even more stable connectivity. Sennheiser also claims the tuning and Adaptive ANC has been improved, and the battery has been upgraded with up to 7.5 hours of playback time in the earbuds.
The earbuds also use Qualcomm's S5 Sound Gen 2 platform and support Snapdragon Sound. This could result in support for high-res audio streaming up to 48kHz sample rate and Dynamic Spatial Audio if paired with a compatible device.
SENNHEISER ACCENTUM PLUS
The Accentum headphone lineup has also gotten a new addition in the form of the Accentum Plus, which still retains the fantastic 50-hour battery life but adds the aptX Adaptive codec and switches from a physical button control scheme to the touch-enabled earcup that's found on the flagship Momentum headphones.
SENNHEISER MOMENTUM SPORT
Last but not least, Sennheiser has a new pair of sport-centric earbuds called the Momentum Sport. Not to be confused with the Sport True Wireless, of course. The Momentum Sport impressively comes with real-time biometric tracking thanks to an included photoplethysmography (PPG) heart rate sensor and a body temperature sensor that can output data to health apps like Apple Health, Garmin Connect, Strava, Peloton and more.
There's an acoustic relief channel to minimise footstep noise and other body-borne distractions. Furthermore, the earbuds also have a semi-open design for environmental awareness and safety. The Momentum Sport are IP55 water and dust-resistant, and the earbuds have six hours of battery life to make it through most regular workouts.
The charging case supports Qi wireless charging and is also IP54 dust and water-resistant, offering three full recharges of the earbuds for a total of 24 hours.
The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 comes in three colourways, black copper, metallic silver, and graphite, and will be available for pre-order from 15 February 2024 at the price of £260 / €300.
With a slight bump to its asking price, the Sennheiser Accentum Plus headphones come in black and white and will retail from 20 February onwards with a price tag of £200 / €230.
The Momentum Sport earbuds will be available in Polar Black, Burned Olive and Metallic Graphite from 9 April onwards at £260 / €330.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
