Stratton Shrinks the Form Not the Fidelity with Element 6 and 8

British-made compact speakers promise refined performance, luxury aesthetics, and standout engineering.
Stratton Acoustics has expanded its Element Series by unveiling two new loudspeakers at AXPONA 2025. The high-end manufacturer introduced the Element 6 and Element 8 models, shrinking the form while preserving the fidelity that defines its larger loudspeakers. They bring that same sonic precision and luxury craftsmanship to a more compact, design-led format.
Positioned as smaller siblings to the flagship Element 12 and Elypsis 1512, the new models maintain the same artisan approach, combining performance-focused engineering with visually arresting forms. Both designs feature Stratton’s patented 29mm soft dome tweeter, decoupled and waveguide-loaded for wide dispersion and accurate imaging, housed in an acrylic-silica polymer matrix enclosure with CNC-machined aerospace-grade aluminium baffles.
The Element 6 is tailored for smaller rooms or nearfield listening. It is centred around a 6-inch carbon-fibre bass/midrange driver. It promises a refined, balanced performance housed in an enclosure engineered to minimise resonance and maximise clarity. Despite its modest footprint, Stratton says the Element 6 delivers a high-fidelity experience with musical coherence and design appeal.
Stepping up in scale, the Element 8 employs an 8-inch version of the same carbon-fibre driver, designed for a more authoritative low-end response. Its reflex-loaded cabinet architecture includes dual resistive port vents, which were developed to suppress pipe resonance and eliminate port colouration, enabling fast, tuneful bass without compromise. According to Stratton, the Element 8 is ideal for larger spaces where greater dynamic range and deeper extension are desired without sacrificing the brand’s hallmark clarity.
To match the new loudspeakers, Stratton has also introduced dedicated Element Stands. The stands are engineered from aerospace-grade aluminium for rigidity, stability, and vibration control while visually echoing the speakers’ sculptural aesthetic. Designed to minimise floor-borne interference, they help preserve fine detail and stereo imaging.
All models are handmade in the UK by Stratton’s team of artisan builders. The Element 6 and 8 are finished in a high-gloss piano white lacquer with silver baffles, and additional finishes are on the way. Founder David Fowler, commenting on the creation of the new speakers, said:
These new models encapsulate our passion for designing speakers that don’t just sound beautiful but are beautiful. The Element 6 and Element 8 are compact, yes, but uncompromising. They’re built for music lovers who want to experience the passion in music, but who also value precision engineering, as well as timeless beauty.
The Stratton Acoustics Element 6 is priced at £15,000 per pair, while the Element 8 is £20,000 per pair. The matching Element Stands are available separately at £3,500 directly by Stratton Acoustics in the UK.

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
