TIVOLI AUDIO AUSTRALIAN LAUNCH AT DENFAIR SYDNEY

As Australia's leading show for contemporary design and art, DENFAIR is the ideal launch pad for the iconic Tivoli Audio brand and its latest range of stylish products.
The annual DENFAIR expo alternates between Melbourne and Sydney, and opened this week and will run until 18th August at the Hordern Pavillion in Moore Park, NSW. With over 50 exhibitors it attracts professional designers, architects, interior stylists and design-lovers.
Tivoli Audio is launching some new models at DENFAIR. A slinky new speaker called the Andiamo which means “let’s go” in Italian, is a compact Bluetooth model with surprisingly loud, dynamic and clear sound performance.
The Andiamo is built for portability and looks rather swish with its premium Italian leather carry strap. Out on the go, this model will provide up to 20 hours of music. The Andiamo is available now and sells for $329 RRP.
But the star of the show is the Music System Home, arguably Tivoli's most ambitious release to date.
Inspired by the modern furniture styles of the 1960s, the tabletop unit with impressive stature is equipped with AM/FM, DAB+, Bluetooth, CD, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, line input and output, and best of all, Amazon Alexa voice assistance. For those not interested in voice control, Alexa can also be completely disabled.
You can of course also use Tivoli Audio's excellent ART Series app for full control and to control multiple zones across your home with other products within the ART Series range.
Internally it has a four-channel amplifier driving two 3.5-inch full range drivers and two .75-inch tweeters. Don't underestimate the size of those speakers, as the Music System Home is highly capable and likely all you'd need in a second living space or dining room.
Looking right at home at DENFAIR, the Music System Home will look stunning as a feature on a sideboard or table.
Gary Tye, Tivoli Audio’s Australian Manager, told StereoNET:
The design and aesthetics are as important as the feature list and sound quality itself with modern living. The Music System Home will appeal to the music lover as much as the discerning stylist. The Music System Home has already attracted loads of interest from Australia's top designers and interior designers on day one of DENFAIR Sydney.
Available in walnut, white or black wood finish, and featuring Danish made Gabriel fabric, the Music System Home is expected to arrive in October 2018 and will sell for $1,299 RRP.
Rounding off the launch is Tivoli Audio's Model CD, also part of the ART Series and is a standalone Wi-Fi enabled CD player called simply the Model CD.
The Model CD comes finished in Tivoli’s signature wood finish and has a touchscreen LED panel. The Model CD will connect to a home network allowing users to stream CDs to speakers within Tivoli's ART Series.
A handy stereo line output also allows the Model CD to connect to the inputs of a traditional amplifier or receiver. Available in walnut, white and black, the Model CD ships later this year and is expected to sell for $449 RRP.
DENFAIR Sydney runs from 16th August - 18th August 2018 at Hordern Pavilion, 1 Driver Ave, Moore Park NSW.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
