TruAudio’s Digital Destination

With its future-focused vision that stems from steeped experience and an expansive knowledge base, TruAudio has created a new dynamic digital amplifier, the A75 Amplifier.
Light, compact and with low power consumption, digital amplifiers are used in DACs, car radio, portable devices, DACs and of course audio amplifiers. Which is the target genre for TruAudio’s A75. Priced at $3095 RRP, the A75 is distinguished from say, digital amp icon Devialet, by its multi-channel capability.
Whilst Devialet hones in on stereo and mono models for the more traditional HiFi application, the A75 has 12 channels each capable of 75 watts, and 6 zones, perfect for integrator or multi-room audio installation. This power output jumps to 150 watts when the A75 is bridged to another A75.
Frequency range is said to be 20Hz to 40kHz (+/- 3dB8Ohms). Distortion is 1% measured at 1kHz/75w 8ohm while channel separation is 65dB/1kHz 8ohm.
TruAudio says it has built a ground lift switch into each A75 to solve any ground looping issues.
Connections include a single local and two global inputs. The A75 also supports up to six zones giving it plenty of versatility.
With the ability to rackmount the amplifier, it also sports a smaller and cleaner 2U chassis than previous TruAudio amplifiers
The A75 is sleek and compact and looks rather nice powered up with its metallic buttons exuding soothing blue hues.
The TruAudio A75 Multi Channel Amplifier is available now.
TruAudio is distributed by Advance Audio.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
