YBA Design Range Becomes New Brand Gateway
Design is the new four-product hi-fi series from French high-end brand YBA.
YBA has announced the launch of a brand-new product line: YBA Design. This new entry-level series features four models: the YT302 SACD transport, the YD302 Streamer and DAC, the YP302 pre-amp and headphone amplifier, and the YA302 integrated amplifier.
First out of the gates is the YP302 pre-amp and headphone amplifier. Featuring two pairs each of RCA and XLR inputs and a set of stereo RCA and XLR outputs at the rear, the YBA YP302 aims to be the control hub to your hi-fi system, especially if you opt to include the YD302 streamer and YA302 integrated amp.
Meanwhile, the Design YP302 hosts a range of headphone connections on its fascia along the 5-inch touchscreen display, including 4.4mm balanced, 4-pin XLR balanced, 6.35mm single-ended, and 3.5mm single-ended, ensuring most head-fi fans are catered for.
We are told the head amp will drive even the most demanding headphones regardless of whether you prefer dynamic drivers or the most advanced planars, thanks to its powerful output of 7.3W @ 32 Ohm.
Lift the lid of the 32x26x8 cm, 6kg pre-amp, and you'll find quality components such as a German 48VA UI Transformer, highly precise PGA2320 volume control, and unique YBA capacitors.
The details of the rest of the range mention that the YBA Design YT302 SACD transport features True DSD Output while the Design YD302 streaming DAC boast a "Linux-based system offering a range of streaming services and Top-Grade DAC audio circuit."
Finally, the YBA Design YA302 integrated amplifier is touted as a "dynamic-sounding amplifier" and offers up to 2x 100w @ 8 Ohm / 2x 180w @ 4 Ohm.
The new YBA Design line will be revealed at its international premiere during High End Munich 2025 in booth L05 in Hall 3, where Mr Yves-Bernard André will be available for questions.
The YBA Design YP302 Pre-amplifier and Headphone Amplifier and Design YT302 SACD Transport are available in May 2025 with an MSRP of €3,200 each. The Design YD302 Streamer and DAC will become available during the Summer of 2025, with the YA302 Integrated Amplifier following in Autumn. Both prices are to be confirmed.
