YBA Launches Heritage R100 Streaming Music Centre
YBA has announced the launch of its eagerly anticipated Heritage R100 streaming integrated amplifier.
Just add speakers ... YBA's long-awaited all-in-one is finally shipping this month and the French company founded in 1981 promises outstanding performance from its compact footprint.
The Heritage R100 Music Centre is at its heart an integrated amplifier, but it also adds a DAC and streamer for the best in digital reproduction. There are both digital and analog inputs, including a Phono for turntables, and headphone output as well.
Digital connections include optical, coaxial, USB (2) and Bluetooth, while the R100 also features connectivity including AirPlay and network services for Tidal, Spotify, Qobuz, Deezer.
The R100 supports AIFF, WAV, FLAC, MP3, WMA and AAC as well as DSD64 and DSD128. Depending on the input, there's support for up to 32-bit / 384 kHz, processed by an AKM DAC chip. According to YBA, the R100 offers 100 watts power per channel at eight ohms.
Control is via the included remote control or the 130x71 millimetre TFT LCD touchscreen. Firmware updates will come over-the-air, and YBA says a dedicated control app is in development.
Measuring 430 x 399 x 118 mm and weighing in at 9.2 kgs, the R100 is a genuinely modern product from the French hi-fi company founded by Yves Bernard André.
Available in black or silver finish, local pricing and availability have not yet been confirmed.
