RHA TrueConnect 2 Earphones Launched

RHA has announced the second generation of its award-winning TrueConnect true wireless earbuds.

RHA's TrueConnect 2 (£129.95) true wireless earphones look the same as the first iteration, which is no bad thing. However, the Glasgow-based personal audio specialist has made a raft of improvements for the second-generation of its wire-free ear pleasers.

RHA TrueConnect 2

Firstly, RHA has increased the earphones' stamina so that the TrueConnect 2 lasts 44 hours - 9.5 hours of charge in the 6g earbuds and a further 34.5 hours of battery life stored in the charging case. Furthermore, the natty flip charging case will quickly give your dead earphones an hour of playback from just 10 minutes charge to help you finish your journey, video or audiobook.

Sporting an IP55 rating, the TrueConnect 2 will also brush aside dust, sweat and splashes. Additionally, the new earphones also receive touch controls as well as a "refined sound signature" from the 6mm dynamic drivers.

The TrueConnect 2 is compatible with Siri, Google Assistant and Alexa and will connect to your digital assistant by you simply touching the earbud and speaking your command.

Wireless connectivity is via Bluetooth 5 boasting a 12 metre range and, thanks to the TrueConnect 2's noise-reducing mics on both earbuds, background sounds are removed for when you make or take calls, ensuring that outgoing audio is clear.

Global Marketing Manager, Colum Fraser, told StereoNET:

We wanted to make a pair of earbuds that could be used for every part of our day – whether that's commuting, working, exercising, or chilling on the couch. We're really chuffed with how the TrueConnect 2 has turned out – same great design as before and now built for more.

The TrueConnect 2 is available online and instore from today, July 9th, in Carbon Black and Navy Blue for £129.95/ €159.95.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
