Hi-Fi Racks For Every Application

UK's Hi-Fi Racks Ltd have enjoyed early success here in Australia since Melbourne distributor Audio Magic took charge of local availability two years ago. But they're not just limited to Harbeth speakers as some might think.

What's the first thing you type in Google when looking for a new stand on which to display your audio components? hifi racks? Most likely. And that's exactly who you'll find perched in number one position. That was no accident, but more on that later.

Hi-Racks Ltd was founded by enthusiast Bradley Walters in 2007, displeased with the offerings available on the market at the time. Too often forgotten in the world of HiFi and AV is the importance of a good, solid, isolated rack in which to store your components, and evidently he wasn't wrong. What started as a one-man-show has grown to a family business, with their products now represented in every continent of the world.

You won’t find any MDF or veneer in Hi-Fi Racks Ltd products. They only use solid hardwoods, apparently sourcing the highest quality timbers from around the world. By combining beautiful, natural materials with their multi-award-winning designs and trademark British craftsmanship, their racks look as good as they sound.

A natural harmony is found in their purpose built stands for the also famous Harbeth speaker brand, but the range also includes component racks, generic speaker stands and even headphone stands.

Walters at StereoNET Office

Walters dropped in on StereoNET's office while in Australia recently, and chatting over coffee and Tim Tam's (we were out of tea and scones) it became clear quite quickly Bradley is very passionate about the workmanship and quality of his products. He really enjoys the business side of the operation as well, and has proven more than capable in the operations but also marketing. Growing the company quite substantially over the past nine years, they've carefully partnered with distributors around the world, supported their dealer network globally, and kept the name in the eye of enthusiasts through exhibiting at HiFi Shows around the world. 'Organic growth', if you will.

Hi-Fi Racks Ltd in Munich Germany

StereoNET caught up again with Bradley and wife Julie, along with their German distributor at Munich's High End show earlier this year. The products are a hit throughout Europe and their stand was no exception, packed with punters across the duration of the show.

Hey Brad, Surprise! ...

Audio Magic launched the range locally just two years ago and now Hi-Fi Racks Ltd can be found in dealers around the country.

To check out the range for yourself visit the Hi-Racks Ltd page on the Audio Magic website.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
