HI-RES & MQA AUDIO IN YOUR POCKET WITH PIONEER XDP-300R

Pioneer have been quietly chipping away at the portable audio player market and their latest release, the XDP-300R high resolution digital audio player is sure to be a hit.

With more and more headphones available on the market than ever before, the limitations of smartphones as music players have been realised. The XDP-300R portable digital audio player is the answer for users who want the ability to handle playback of any file type, and is capable of playback up to 11.2MHz DSD, 384kHz/24bit FLAC/WAV and the newest High Res technology MQA, with full balanced circuitry for the dual DACs to the output.

The addition of MQA capability, the revolutionary end-to-end technology that captures and delivers master quality audio in a file that is small enough to stream or download, fully authenticated, sets the XDP-300R apart from other digital audio players.

Add to that, it also comes equipped with 32Gb of internal storage and dual microSD card slots that support up to 200Gb each, making the total available storage up to a class leading 432Gb. With a GorillaGlass equipped 4.7 inch HD display, you can also access Google Play to download music, movies, and apps.

Pioneer XDP-300R

The XDP-300R is arguably the most capable portable player on the market today, and with dual ESS Technology SABRE DACs (ES9018K2M) and paired with SABRE (9601K) amps and balanced output, it's very clear this player is aimed at the audiophile on-the-go.

With a complete feature list too extensive to cover here, StereoNET is currently reviewing the XDP-300R now so watch out for that one soon.

Available now for $1299 RRP, for more information visit the Pioneer brand page.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
