American Legend Now Starring in Australia

US specialist subwoofers and speakers company SVS, has landed in Australia courtesy of the Final Link Audio national distribution network.
For those that need to know, SVS is one of America’s fastest growing AV brands. Moreover as Final Link’s Shane Lewis points out to StereoNET, it’s also one of the fastest to accrue a bundle of meaningful awards for design excellence, build quality and sound.
‘We’re very proud that we have been appointed the authorised SVS distributor for Australia,’ said Lewis.
''SVS is incredibly responsive to the AV educated consumers in Australia so they are pulling out all stops to work with distributors such as ourselves to enable SVS products to be purchased for the first time in traditional hi-fi stores and also made available to custom integrators.’
SVS has amassed a booming grow6th of 250 per cent in a market where growth is heading south for many of the brand’s rivals.
‘These guys are really bucking the trend, because they manufacture their subwoofers and speakers at amazingly low prices and also seem to be winning awards almost every week for their subwoofers and their new Ultra Series Speaker line. We will be offering a broad range of SVS subwoofer models at price points starting from just $699 and ranging up to the top-of-the-line reference model at just under $3,000,’ Lewis said.
Available now from Final Link Audio is also the SVS ‘Ultra Series’ speaker line-up, which includes a true three-way centre-channel speaker, audiophile-grade bookshelf monitors, selectable side-rear speakers and SVS’s ‘Ultra Towers’, which incorporate dual 165mm midrange drivers and dual 203mm bass drivers. ‘SVS’s Ultra Towers retail for under $3000, yet in the US they’re being compared against $5000-plus speakers and winning by miles!’ said Lewis.
Final Link Audio has recently moved to larger premises to accommodate its own expansion.
The company is now located at Level 1, 176 Swann Drive, Derrimut, VIC, 3030. Its phone and fax numbers remain unchanged: (03) 9746 0394 (phone) and (03) 8692 6905 (fax).

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
