AUDEZE LCD-I3 EARPHONES REPLACES ISINE 20

Audeze has outed the LCD-i3 earphones, the successor to the popular iSINE 20 and will slot below the LCD-i4.
The Audeze LCD-i3 mixes the winning combination of the LCD-i4's advanced design with the low impedance of the iSINE series. The result is an impressive performance that doesn't require a separate headphone amp.
Firstly, the LCD-i3 improves on the iSINE 20 by using the Magnesium housing and grille design of the LCD-i4. The trusted design reduces unwanted resonance.
Additionally, the new earphones feature improvements to the original iSINE 20 planar magnetic driver design. The LCD-i3 can push up to 130dB with zero audible distortion for an authentic audiophile in-ear experience.
Wireless Bundle
Included with each LCD-i3 are the CIPHER Bluetooth Module for wireless listening. You also get a Lightning Cable and standard 3.5mm cable bundled in with the package.
Featuring a Bluetooth 5.0 chipset with integrated support for AptX and AptX HD, the CIPHER Bluetooth Module delivers low-latency 24-bit wireless audio that has been optimised for even the most discerning ear.
For improved comfort, the new Ear Fins are ergonomically designed to provide a comfortable and secure fit within the concha bowl of the ear. For those who prefer the traditional iSINE fit, the redesigned Ear Hooks now curve inward along the back of the ear to ensure a superior fit for ears of all shapes and sizes.
These new accessories are fully compatible with all existing Audeze in-ear headphones.
Current iSINE or LCD-i4 owners interested in purchasing the accessories separately can do so through the iSINE accessory kit.
Price and availability
The Audeze LCD-i3 will retail at £849/$899 and will go on sale from September 23.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
