AudioControl’s New Receivers and Processors Are Packing Dirac Live Bass Control
AudioControl Concert and Maestro AV receivers and processors pack Dirac Live Bass Control.
AudioControl's latest line of receivers and processors include Dirac Live Bass Control for a more immersive home theatre experience in any space.
The latest AudioControl Concert receivers support in-demand surround formats and deliver six channels of user-configurable outputs for high-pass channels, height channels or additional subwoofers - all to optimise your movie experience. The brand's Maestro series enables higher levels of precision and control, we are told. The Maestro series is pitched at immersive home theatres and supports all popular, advanced surround formats, with 16 channels of balanced and unbalanced output.
Concert Series Specifications
- Concert XR-8 - 9.1.6-channels of HDMI 2.0b with 16-channels of output, 7-channels of high-current class H amplified output at 200 watts into 4 ohms.
- Concert XR-6 - 9.1.6-channels of HDMI 2.0b with 16-channels of output, 7-channels of class AB amplified output at 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms.
- Concert XR-4 - 7.1-channels of HDMI 2.0b with 11-channels of output, 7-channels of class AB amplified output at 60 watts per channel into 8 ohms.
All models within the Maestro and Concert series also support 4K Ultra HD, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision.
Dirac Live Bass Control uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to co-optimise the components of a sound system to deliver accurate, consistent bass throughout a room.

Dirac Live Bass Control aggregates measurement and location data from each subwoofer to determine how a system's bass is distributed in a room. Then, it identifies gaps in the sound waves and distributes bass evenly. Additionally, this intelligent audio software corrects the low-frequency sound waves produced by other speakers so that the bass produced by each speaker is in sync with the overall system. The result of such intelligent processing means you have greater flexibility in subwoofer placement.
Dirac Live Bass Control is included with AudioControl's Concert XR-8 and Concert XR-6 receivers and Maestro X7 and Maestro X9 preamp/processors. You can add it to the Concert XR-4 receiver as a cost option.
