AUSSIE HEADPHONE HERO, AUDIOFLY, FINDS NEW HOME

Arguably better known overseas than within its own country, the Perth born and bred headphone brand Audiofly is sure to receive the exposure it deserves via the appointment of a new local distributor, Aqipa Australia.
Founded in Switzerland in 1990, Aqipa employs over 300 staff and operate in several markets across Europe. With a focus on consumer electronics and lifestyle accessories, its Australian arm provides sales and logistics expertise to over 50 brands already.
This expertise will be instrumental to the growth of Audiofly. Starting in Perth in 2012, Audiofly has introduced award-winning In-Ear Monitors and high-quality consumer headphones, including their latest wireless Bluetooth headphones to the market.
Audiofly is currently available in JB Hi-Fi and selected independent retailers, but with Aqipa's marketing focus, resources and expertise, the brand is expected to grow in awareness and market share in Australia.
Sohan Karunaratne, Sales and Marketing Director for Aqipa told StereNET:
Audiofly is a great Australian brand we’ve followed since launch, their passion and commitment to creating high-quality yet affordable products made our decision to partner with them a no-brainer. We’re looking forward to taking things to the next level in our local market and throughout our global business.
StereoNET will be taking a closer look at some of the headphones in the Audiofly range in the coming months.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
