AUSTRALIA’S CEDIA+CONNECTED CONFERENCE IS GO

CEDIA, the leading global organisation and body overseeing the home technology industry have teamed up with the Connected network and publication to deliver an industry-leading conference for industry members next month.

The event to be held May 23-24 at the Sofitel Hotel, Broadbeach on the sunny Gold Coast will attract hundred of our industry's best installers, integrators and smart home gurus.

Jeremy Sweet, Connection Magazines General Manager told StereoNET:

There is a fair bit of technical training available to integrators around the country, but there is a serious lack of education targeting the business owner,

The CEDIA+Connected Conference aims to rectify this through the inclusion of presentations from some of the leading authorities in standards, economics, housing, digital home health and wellness.

More than 10 guest speakers from Australia and across the globe will attend to discuss emerging global and local trends, along with the issues confronting the Australian systems integration industry – from market research into the housing market nationally and the uptake of IoT and integrated technologies, as well as discussion panels about education, staffing and skill shortages.

The second day of the conference will see more than 20 training sessions, including exclusive CEDIA training, and courses delivered by event sponsors including Audio Active, Advance Audio, BenQ, Canohm, Krix, QualiFiSynergy and Yamaha and many more.

CEDIA Members can attend the conference for $150/ticket, while non-CEDIA members can also attend for $250/ticket.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
