Arcam Software Updates Land for AVRs and Hi-Fi Streamers

Latest Arcam software updates deliver enhanced performance for HDA AVRs alongside SA and ST hi-fi streamers.
Arcam has expanded its TIDAL high-res streaming capabilities to the SA30 streaming integrated amplifier and ST60 streamer, enabling playback up to 192kHz via TIDAL Connect. This should prove a huge boost as the hi-res streaming service was solely accessed via Arcam's Musiclife app and only supported MQA streams,
Additionally, Arcam's HDA AVR11, AVR21, AVR31, AV41, and HDMI 2.1 versions of AVR5, AVR10, AVR20, AVR30, and AV40 also receives the same TIDAL Connect update.
Moreover, the 1.62 2057 (Net 2057) update for those HDA models also improves eARC operation via HDMI 2.1. Following final testing, the Net 2057 update will extend to all HDMI 2.0 AVRs, with availability expected in the first half of 2025.
You can download the latest update files from the Arcam website and install them via USB. Comprehensive installation instructions are available online to ensure a smooth process. Additionally, Arcam dealers have been alerted about the updates to enable further communication with users.
The company adds that it is working towards introducing over-the-air (OTA) updates for added convenience.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
