Conrad Mas founded AVID HiFi when he was just 16 years old. He told StereoNET:
We really wanted to make an audiophile quality sound turntable on a budget. We didn’t want to just make a bread-board design with a platter and arm stuck to it.
AVID actually stands for “A Very Interesting Design”, and what started as a just an idea has grown into a lifelong obsession and learning process, untainted by preconceptions in turntable design.
Len Wallis Audio has made available three models for demonstration, the Ingenium, which redefines what an entry-level turntable should be, the Diva II and Volvere.
