Bassocontinuo Adds Mc Edition Finish to Classic Line 2.1 Rack Range

Bassocontinuo launches McIntosh-specific finish option for its entry-level Classic Line 2.1 range of AV equipment supports.
Bassocontinuo's Mc Edition hi-fi racks' blue and black styling is said to be inspired by McIntosh's iconic blue watt meters and is available across the entire five-strong Classic Line 2.1 range.
Designed to complement McIntosh electronics with the addition of key detailing such as blue side details on the shelves matched with blue washer stacks on the legs. The Mc Edition Classic Line 2.1 comprises both hi-fi and A/V racks, plus turntable wall shelves and power amp platforms, in leg heights from 90 mm to 290 mm.
Bassocontinuo states that its goal for the Classic Line 2.1 was to create a highly versatile range with impeccable technical features whilst remaining affordable. A vital component of the Classic 2.1 line is the new 'zero-shaking' clamp system, which promises improved stability. Further features include a new cosmetic tie-rod cover made by Delrin, plus a new spike design with a stabilising washer for fine-tuning.
In addition, the Italian support specialist boasts that its Classic 2.1 line has been thoroughly tested by an independent laboratory in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano.
Bassocontinuo's Mc Edition Classic 2.1 line is available now, priced from £2,675 (Base £690, plus three shelves at £665 each).

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
