Clean Your Power with IsoTek V5 Sirius

Specialists in power products for hi-fi and AV applications, IsoTek, has announced the newest edition of its power bar cleaners for the V5 series – the V5 Sirius.
Housed in an extruded aluminium chassis, Sirius is a sturdy, durable power bar that can easily be wall-mounted behind audio systems or placed discreetly behind audio racks. A special wall bracket system is supplied, along with IsoTek's multi-award-winning EVO3 Premier power cable.
The V5 Sirius harnesses IsoTek's latest mains power cleaning technology, which both protects and improves your system's performance, according to the company. Its compact and elegant design measures 555mm long, 88mm wide, and just 55mm high. It features six independent outlets, each one referencing back to the central PCB, "to dramatically reduce Differential Mode cross-contamination of connected components". IsoTek adds that most power filters of this style join output sockets together, running each in series. "A filter's effectiveness suffers under this design as Differential Mode Noise created by your connected electronics will cross-contaminate from one output socket to the next". V5 Sirius' electrical architecture and design are said to avoid this, "rendering a wider, more clearly-defined stereo image".
The V5 Sirius features a unique high-grade and high-amperage choke system combined with high-frequency delta filters "to ensure class-leading power cleaning of both Common Mode and Differential Mode mains noise across a wide frequency range". This is combined with IsoTek's unique Inductive Resonance Gate, which further optimises the isolation between each of the six output sockets, adds the company. "Clean power is then delivered to all six output sockets – each one independently isolated to prevent cross-contamination of mains noise. Meanwhile, KERP (Kirchoff's Equal Resistance Path) ensures equal resistance and equal power delivery to all outlets.
The internal wiring is unique to Sirius, composed of pure 6n oxygen-free copper conductor strands with silver plating, offering low resistance and high amperage. An FEP dielectric is then used to protect the conductors, offering the ultimate low-resistance power delivery system. Furthermore, a 54,000A instantaneous yet transient protection system is said to "enhance sound quality as well as protecting precious audio components from dangerous power surges and voltage spikes". This unique safeguarding system features IsoTek's sequential cascading VDR
protection method, which it says "offers superior safety without dynamic audio or sound restrictions".
Available in black or silver finishes, the IsoTek V5 Sirius is available now at £995.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
