Clearaudio's Smart Power 12V delivers pure, clean power to Clearaudio's Concept and Performance DC turntables and is now available in the UK.
We announced the Clearaudio Smart Power 12V, along with the 24V version, back in June and are happy to reveal that it is now available in the UK for £630.
The Smart Power 12V is a battery-based DC power supply upgrade designed for Clearaudio's Concept and Performance DC turntables.
The Smart Power 12V partners intelligent circuit technology with long-lasting NiMH (nickel-metal hydride) rechargeable batteries to deliver 12V of clean power without the variability and inherent noise of the mains supply. With a minimal output impedance, the resulting stable voltage enables your Concept or Performance DC turntable to maintain perfect speed stability and so perform at its best.
The Smart Power 12V can switch automatically from battery play mode into recharging mode, enhancing your turntable's performance as well as protecting it from short circuits and power surges, even while charging.
Clearaudio states that, when used with the Concept Active turntable, the Smart Power 12V's benefits are multiplied, since both the turntable's motor and the on-board phonostage are fed with pure, clean DC power.
