Electromod Ltd Inks UK Distribution Deal With Violectric

Electromod signed up as German high-end audio brand Violectric's UK distributor.
Violectric has partnered with High Wycombe-based Electromod to distribute its extensive range of DACs, headphone amplifiers, pre-amplifiers, cabling and more throughout the UK using its trusted network of dealers.
A representative from Violectric told StereoNET:
Our target customer is a pragmatist interested in experiencing genuinely effective, technologically advanced solutions implemented in a way that's guided by the highest quality standards. This approach is also reflected in the simple yet elegant external design of our Violectric product range.
Electromod boss Mark Dolbear, a long-term fan of the brand's real-world approach to hi-fi, agreed, telling us:
I am impressed by Violectric's basic performance standards but also its unique aesthetics, its elegant design ethos, but, most of all, the basic performance of its products. I look forward to working with the company and, above all else, showing this magnificent range of Violectric products to the UK HiFi community.
Producing fully-featured and stylish designs, Violectric will put a smile on the faces of audiophiles, hardcore hi-fi fans and those users who just want the best sound quality from the music they love.
Electromod has a wide selection of Violectric products in stock ranging from the Chronos portable DAC/amp (£185), the HPA V202 (£810) headphone amplifier, boasting +/- 18 dB pre-gain for optimal adjustment, volume control with RK 27 potentiometer utilised via a 38 mm all-aluminium dial, 2700mW Max into 50 ohms and >18V RMS into 600 ohms, right up to the brand's Ultimate Series Niimbus US 5 (£5,140) preamp and headphone amplifier featuring a 256 step reed relay-based volume control, two unbalanced RCA and one balanced XLR inputs, an RCA and XLR output, as well as headphone outputs including 4-pin XLR, 4.4 mm Pentaconn, and a pair of 6.3 mm jack outputs.
It's not all head-fi, either. For instance, Violectric also presents the PPA V790 (£3,490), a phono preamp offering provision for no less than six pickups (3 x balanced + 3 x unbalanced) to be connected simultaneously. Additionally, the PPA V790 saves input impedance, capacitance, amplification factor, equalisation, subsonic and output adjustment (boost) individually for each pickup. These are clearly displayed with white LEDs on the front and can be varied using a button. We are also told that "the usual simple distinction between MM and MC systems is dispensed with. Therefore, MC high-output or quiet MM systems can also be optimally integrated via the wide gain setting from +30 to +66 dB."
StereoNET looks forward to seeing the Violectic brand well-represented by our friends at Electromod and wishes both the best in this new partnership.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
