Vision AI and Wireless 8K Lead Samsung’s 2025 Home Entertainment Lineup

Next-gen screens lead Samsung’s push toward a more intelligent, connected home...
Samsung has officially lifted the curtain on its 2025 product portfolio, revealing its most expansive and AI-integrated lineup yet. From 8K televisions with wireless video transmission to smart appliances that adapt to household routines, the brand’s latest innovations highlight its ambition to create a seamlessly connected and hyper-personalised living environment, powered by its proprietary Vision AI and SmartThings ecosystems.
This writer was fortunate to attend Samsung’s ‘House of Wonder’ event in the heart of Sydney yesterday, where the tech giant showcased an impressive spread of new technologies. With immersive displays stretching up to 98 inches, AI-powered personalisation, and a clutter-reducing wireless design ethos, Samsung is clearly reinforcing its dominance in the home entertainment space, while also making serious inroads into the smart appliance category.
Phil Gaut, Director – Consumer Electronics, Samsung Australia, told StereoNET:
We know that everyone’s lifestyle is unique, and their technology needs to work just for them. By introducing Vision AI and AI Home, more Samsung devices around the home will deliver secure and hyper-personalised experiences that continue to learn over time, creating new ways for Australians to live better.
Among the headline acts are the Neo QLED 8K QN990F and QN900F televisions, the newly upgraded Frame Pro TV, and smart home innovations like the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra vacuum cleaner, AI Family Hub refrigerator, AI Home Side By Side model, and new front-load washers—all designed to interact seamlessly through Samsung’s connected ecosystem.
New research commissioned by Samsung reveals that more than a third of Australians believe smart devices bring “wonder” to their homes, on par with art and home décor. Half of those surveyed cited the convenience of the remote control as a key benefit. At the same time, 44 per cent of single parents said the energy-saving potential of smart tech was a priority. With the average Australian home now hosting 24 connected devices, two-thirds of respondents said AI-assisted products could ease their daily mental load and give them time back to relax, spend time with loved ones, or watch TV.
Leading the 2025 range is the Neo QLED 8K QN990F, available in 65-, 75-, and 85-inch variants. With 33 million pixels and Samsung’s Pantone-validated glare-free screen technology, the QN990F features a minimalist Infinity Air design and the debut of a Wireless One Connect Box. This new solution allows 8K/120Hz signals to be transmitted wirelessly from up to 10 metres away, reducing visible cabling and installation complexity.
The new NQ8 AI Gen3 processor powers the visuals, bringing with it 8K AI Upscaling Pro and Motion Xcelerator 240Hz for ultra-smooth sports and gaming. AI Motion Enhancer Pro refines motion and text clarity in fast-moving scenes. At the same time, Vision AI continuously learns and adjusts the TV’s performance over time to suit viewing habits and ambient conditions.
Simon Howe, Director – Audio Visual, Samsung Australia, commented:
We know that every Australian’s lifestyle is unique, so we have expanded our OLED range to provide more sizes, more models, and more personalised AI-powered features so Australians can choose an OLED screen that’s perfectly suited to their needs. Backed by a new 7-year One UI Tizen upgrade guarantee. Australians can be confident that their Samsung OLED TV will continue to offer value in the long term via personalised picture and sound experiences and exclusive Samsung endless entertainment possibilities.
This writer saw firsthand how effective the latest 8K upscaling technology can be, particularly when applied to a standard 4K movie. The argument that there’s not enough native 8K content to justify the leap has been common (and admittedly, I’ve long been in that camp). However, in my humble opinion, the advancements shown on Samsung’s larger panels—especially the 85-inch QN990F—are worthy of serious consideration. The clarity and perceived resolution were remarkable; one of those genuine “wow” moments where you suddenly realise what you’ve been missing until it’s right in front of you.
The QN900F shares much of the same feature set but adds a brushed metal frame, near-flush wall mounting, and Motion Xcelerator 165Hz. Onboard speakers support Dolby Atmos, while Object Tracking Sound+ adds directional audio that moves with on-screen action.
Samsung has also refreshed its popular Frame TV lineup with the introduction of The Frame Pro, which combines its stylish aesthetic with Neo QLED 4K performance for the first time. Now powered by the NQ4 AI Gen3 processor and Vision AI features, the Frame Pro is available in 65-, 75-, and 85-inch sizes and supports wireless 4K transmission via the One Connect Box.
A matte display and Pantone’s ArtfulColour validation ensure that artwork and content appear lifelike and glare-free. At the same time, the included Slim Fit Wall Mount allows the unit to sit nearly flush, like an authentic gallery piece. The Frame Pro’s ambient sensors also adjust brightness and colour temperature to suit the room, and the TV can power down automatically when no one is present to conserve energy.
To complement its visual innovations, Samsung has introduced a new range of soundbars led by the Q-Series HW-Q990F and HW-QS700F. Designed to integrate seamlessly with Samsung’s TVS—including Q-Symphony synchronisation and Wireless Dolby Atmos support—these models combine powerful hardware with AI-enhanced sound profiles for a more immersive experience.
The flagship HW-Q990F features an 11.1.4 channel setup, including a 4.0.2 rear speaker array. Samsung says the new Dynamic Bass Control system enables a smaller, more efficient subwoofer without sacrificing low-end power. Meanwhile, the more compact HW-QS700F offers a versatile 3.1.2 channel Dolby Atmos system and includes a built-in gyro sensor that adapts audio output based on whether it's wall-mounted or tabletop.
Both soundbars include features such as Adaptive Sound, Active Voice Amplifier Pro, and support for SmartThings, rounding out Samsung’s 2025 AV offering with serious sonic intent.
Outside of the living room, Samsung also used the event to showcase upgrades across its Bespoke appliance range. The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra vacuum is now said to be the most powerful cordless stick model available, while the AI Family Hub and AI Home refrigerators now double as smart home control centres thanks to embedded SmartThings hubs. Samsung’s appliances now feature regular Smart Forward software updates and the Knox Matrix platform for added device security.
For this writter, the fridge was genuinely intriguing. The new Bespoke AI Family Hub model features internal cameras capable of recognising up to 33 different food items. It can then provide use-by reminders for fresh produce and even suggest recipes based on what’s inside. It’s a clever blend of food management and digital assistance that could actually be useful in everyday life.
Beyond meal planning, the 32-inch display on the Bespoke AI Family Hub acts as a digital command centre for the home, controlling connected devices, showing calendars, tracking energy usage, and even streaming Spotify or mirroring your phone or TV. And really, it makes perfect sense. The kitchen has always been the heart of the home, so putting SmartThings control on the fridge makes it instantly accessible to everyone in the household, whether you’re cooking dinner, packing lunches, or just grabbing a drink.
For Australia, Samsung’s 2025 Neo QLED and QLED TVs are available now via major retailers and online at Samsung's website. Models range from A$2,069 for the entry-level QN70F 55-inch to A$13,799 for the flagship QN990F 85-inch.
The Frame Pro starts at A$4,024, while new soundbars and smart appliances will begin rolling out in May, with broader availability expected in June.
