FOCAL’S NEW AUSTRALASIAN DISTRIBUTOR
As exclusively reported by StereoNET NZ, Focal has appointed its current Australian distributor which is based in New Zealand, as the brand’s exclusive Australasian outlet.
The new arrangement which takes effect from November 1, 2017, will see N.A Distributors take over from the Focal New Zealand distributor, K J Distributors, the company that has provided kiwis with Focal for the last five years.
Announcing the new arrangement, N.A Distributor’s Director, Chris Murphy told StereoNET:
We are delighted to expand our focal home audio representation to cover all of Australasia. Focal’s wide range of loudspeakers with their innovative technologies and beautiful aesthetics, along with sister company Naim’s range of sophisticated electronics, allows us to offer compelling options to the specialist audio retailers we support.
Representing both Naim Audio and Focal remotely from New Zealand was a move that was met with some open questions regarding the company's ability to provide logistics, marketing, and support.
N.A. Distributors have successfully grown the Naim and Focal brands in Australia putting to rest any criticism that brands could not be represented remotely.
One Melbourne based long-term Focal retailer commented to StereoNET this morning:
In our store, we see representatives from NA Distributors in our store more often than some of the Melbourne based distributors.
