Freeview Australia, one of the world’s best free digital TV services has just got better with the roll out of the new Freeview Plus service.

From today Aussie TV viewers will have enhanced Freeview Plus user features that are much simpler to navigate than ever.

They’ll also discover a Freeview experience with a bundle of new, innovative features. And they’ll also get a vibrantly appealing new website where content is so easy to locate.

Freeview has pulled out all the stops upgrading its TV service equipping its site with a world-leading user interface built around image-based browsing and a key feature called, My TV function.

My TV is a joy to use and gives free-to-air TV viewers a bundle of image-based carousels to scroll through. These carousels take viewing to the next level with prompts for personalised recommendations including viewers’ favourites.

Must have Freeview features including live TV, catch up and genre based browsing have been retained and enhanced.

The Free View Plus upgrade is a winner with its easy-to-use guide that offers backwards navigation to catch-up content as well as a simplified Mini Guide designed for super quick program discovery.

Freeview Plus is available now through all Freeview Plus-enabled TVs, set-top boxes or personal video recorders.

Currently, 12 manufacturers, including all of the top five, are providing fully certified Freeview Plus receivers for the market.

The latest statistics reveal more than 85 per cent of all smart-TVs carry Freeview Plus. About 2.2 million TV receivers in Australia are now Freeview Plus enabled via an 85 per cent connection rate.
