Halcyon Audio Open for Business

Halcyon Audio is a new consulting and services company that believes not all projects need to cost big money.

UK-based Nicolas Will joined forces with Mike Harlington, who works out of Spain, to create Halcyon Audio. The company focuses on delivering turnkey bespoke AV solutions and have, so far, worked on providing audio to a teenager's bedroom right through to creating discrete all-home audio for a holiday home in the mountains.  In fact, the new company's projects have already taken place in Scotland, Spain, USA, and Tanzania - so global support is not an issue.

Regarding support, "digital and information technology has taken a strong foothold in the music domain, and not everyone is an engineer," says Nicolas. He continues "Therefore, we provide comprehensive remote monitoring for our most advanced systems. We also offer long-term on-site maintenance."

Nicolas and Mike are also keen to point out that they are independent consultants, and are free to select any product or technology that will fit the requirements of the project. Although they say that they will never push any equipment or technology because of an agenda, they do have a close relationship with a handful of carefully selected partners, one of which being Kralk Audio.

For more information, contact Halcyon Audio or visit them at the North West Audio Show at Cranage Hall on the weekend of June 20th and 21st.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
