After first working together in 2019, the next generation product is described by the company as the jewel in the crown of its partnership. The Huawei Sound is distinctly smaller than the Sound X of 2019, but is said to "deliver superior, full audio immersion, a testament to Huawei and Devialet's unique and complementary technical capabilities."

Huawei's Sound features a 4-inch 40W woofer and three full-range 5W loudspeakers working in conjunction. Huawei says, "it generates an astounding amount of power, thanks to Devialet's Push-Push configuration, in which two passive radiators reinforce each other to counteract back wave vibrations." This approach to acoustics reduces distortion resulting from the diaphragms' reverberations ensuring stability with volume up to 90 dB.

Huawei Sound also incorporates Devialet's highly regarded "SAM technology", as found in its flagship 2-channel components. Another feature is Devialet SPACE, which the company says negates the need for multiple strategically placed speakers throughout the room for surround sound. Huawei explains SPACE works "by separating the input signal into direct sound, reflected sound and ambient noise, using a dedicated algorithm." The three different directionally oriented speakers then receive signal based on the listener's location, "and together create astounding surround sound effects from a single device, transcending the spatial limitations of any room."

Connectivity options abound with Bluetooth (LDAC), WiFi, and 3.5 mm AUX-in connections. There is also a 'tap-to-transfer' feature allowing the user to direct phone audio playback to the speaker by tapping the phone against the speaker's body. 

Huawei Sound will become a classy addition to any interior space, with its sleek, shiny surface reminiscent of a grand piano. The lower portion of the body is coated with a glossy fibre grid cloth aiding smooth sound transmission and protection against dust.
