JBL ANNOUNCE FOUR NEW HEADPHONE MODELS

JBL round out their Everest 2.0 headphone range with four new Bluetooth only models.

Given the Everest moniker, as you would expect the range is the flagship of the JBL headphone line-up for 2017 which includes Everest 110, 310, 710, and Elite 750NC.

Featuring a perfect combination of style and simplicity, the series offers a variety of on-trend metallic shades including Gunmetal and Mountain Silver among other colours, with an exclusive Steel Blue shade in the Everest 110 and Elite 750NC models.

While only the top model has adaptive noise-cancelling technology, all four feature an integrated noise-cancelling microphone, making them good for communication on-the-go.

JBL have cut the cord on the Everest 2.0 range, meaning connection will be via Bluetooth only.

Bluetooth technology powers an entirely wireless experience, giving listeners the freedom to tackle the day’s activities without the hassle of wires. The headphones' long-lasting battery gives audiophiles more flexibility to listen to their favourite tunes for 15-25 hours.

Additionally, a quick recharge feature enables users to juice up the battery to maximum capacity in just 2 or 3 hours, depending on the model.

Everest 110 is an In-Ear model that comes with a range of differing size tips. The Everest 310 and 710 are On-Ear models and supplied with a hard carry case. While the flagship Elite 750NC is an Over-Ear model that is supplied with a hard carry case and flight adaptor.

Local pricing has not been confirmed yet, but the range will sell overseas from $100 to $300 (USD).

The Everest 2.0 Bluetooth headphone range will be available from August.

JBL consumer products are distributed in Australia by Harman International.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
