Klipsch Upgrades Award-Winning Reference Premiere Loudspeaker Range
Indianapolis-based but globally renowned loudspeaker company Klipsch has announced the debut of its new Reference Premiere series speakers.
The Reference Premiere range is the company's most award-winning series of all time. According to Klipsch, its third-generation release features the most impactful upgrades in the series' history, including the latest technological audio advancements, premium materials, and dramatic cosmetic details.
Upgrades to the new range include larger proprietary Tractrix horn technology to improve high-frequency response and extension while enhancing imaging and dynamics. Klipsch's signature copper Cerametallic™ woofers with aluminium Faraday rings and Tractrix ports provide powerful low frequencies while minimising distortion and maximising efficiency. An exclusive Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) titanium tweeter maximises dynamics and delivers detailed performances.
Described by the company as the "epitome of modern elegance", the speakers are available in two furniture-grade wood finishes – ebony and walnut. Sleek cabinet design details exude refinement with enhanced cabinet bracing, aluminium binding posts, cast aluminium feet, and discrete Dolby Atmos connections that allow easy elevation speaker integration. Signature Klipsch copper trim rings accentuate the tweeter and woofer, which can also be concealed by sturdy yet flexible magnetic grilles.
There are 11 new models making up the new Klipsch Reference Premiere range, including Four floorstanding towers (RP-8060FA II Dolby Atmos® enabled, RP-8000F II, RP-6000F II and RP-5000F II), Two bookshelf speakers (RP-600M II and RP-500M II), Three centre channel speakers (RP-504C II, RP-500C II and RP-404C II), Two surround speakers (RP-502S II and the innovative, dual-purpose RP-500SA II that functions as a Dolby Atmos elevation speaker or a rear/side wall-mountable surround).
Price points for the new Klipsch Reference Premiere series span U.S. MSRP price points ranging from $1198-$2,998 for a pair of floorstanding speakers, $599-$749 for a pair of bookshelf models, $499-799 for a center channel, $699 for a pair of surrounds, and $899 for a pair of dual-purpose RP-500SA II speakers.
Peter Shamoon, Director of Sales and Marketing at Premium Audio Co. (Australia), told StereoNET:
I couldn't be prouder of what has been achieved by the Klipsch brand and its popularity in the Australian market over the last 18 months. As Klipsch's most award-winning range of all time, the latest iteration of Reference Premiere takes the enjoyment of music and movies to yet another level beyond anything we've previously achieved. I can't wait for Australian consumers to hear this range.
Klipsch's 3rd generation Reference Premiere loudspeakers are available now at select authorized retailers and at Klipsch.com.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
