LENBROOK ADDS OK GOOGLE VOICE CONTROL TO BLUOS

Lenbrook International has announced that its BluOS Hi-Res Distributed Audio platform, as found in DALI, NAD and BlueSound products, will support Google Voice Assistant through Actions On Google.
If you own any BluOS Enabled products, you will soon be prompted to update your kit on or around October 8. Once the firmware has refreshed, you will then be able to control your music from any Google Home device using voice commands.
Google Voice Assistant in BluOS responds to a raft of commands through any network-connected Google Home device, including play/pause, next/back, shuffle on/off and managing the play queue for most user libraries and music services. A full list of commands will be published in support documentation on the BluOS website.
Google Voice Assistant joins Amazon's Alexa as part of the voice control strategy from BluOS. This strategy includes the creation of BluVoice, the voice-control interface that acts as the intermediary between BluOS and a compatible voice assistant.
Andrew Haines, BluOS Product Manager, told StereoNET:
The addition of Google Voice as the second platform-wide voice control integration after Amazon's Alexa, and third such integration if you take into consideration Apple's Siri for BluOS users with AirPlay 2 enabled products, opens up a world of possibilities for our users to customise their home environment easily and conveniently.
Experience BluOS and Google Voice
Google Voice Assistant will be demonstrated at CEDIA Expo September 12-14, in the Lenbrook Booth 2520, Hall F at the Colorado Convention Center.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
