New A/V Receiver Line from Denon

Denon Electronics, a premier manufacturer of high-quality audio and home entertainment products, has unveiled its powerful new core line of audio/video receivers for 2012. According to Denon the focus has been on providing today's consumers with accessibly priced options for maximising enjoyment of audio and video content from all potential sources.
Available now, the new line includes the 7.1-channel Model AVR-2113 (RRP $999) as well as the 5.1-channel Models AVR-1713 (RRP $699) and AVR-1513 (RRP $499).
The three new receivers launched each offer simple and intuitive ways to incorporate more personal audio/video content from smartphones, digital cameras, and popular Internet sources. In addition to their easily accessible front-panel HDMI input, the AVR-2113, AVR-1713 and AVR-1513 feature a front-panel USB input, allowing users to enjoy digital music from connected devices. All models except the AVR-1513 support AirPlay streaming technology and are DLNA 1.5 certified.
Adding even more flexibility and content management, the AVR-2113 and AVR-1713 feature the popular AirPlay music streaming feature. AirPlay allows users to customise soundtracks for their home by unleashing their iTunes music libraries from a Mac, PC or their mobile Apple devices. Both receivers also feature iPod/iPhone Direct Connectivity via USB (which also works with iPad playback but not charging iPad) for quick and simple integration of Apple devices into the home audio system.
All new receivers feature an efficient and straightforward short signal path circuit design that ensures optimal audio and video playback by minimising any signal degradation due to interference.
Discerning consumers will also appreciate the fact that all the new receivers above the AVR-1513 feature a full package of Audyssey MultEQ XT audio technologies for optimal sound quality. Audyssey Dynamic Volume offers real-time volume adjustment; while Audyssey DynamicEQ improves a system's surround sound effects at low volume levels.
The AVR-2113 and AVR-1713 feature the company’s acclaimed onscreen Setup Assistant, a straightforward instructional feature that includes language selection, a speaker connection guide, speaker calibration, source setup and simple network configuration.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
