New Ultima Chord Product Unveiled This Weekend
This weekend, Reference Audio is where to experience Chord Electronic's excellent products and get the inside scoop of a yet unnamed Ultima product.
One of the post-lockdown good news stories, Witham-based Reference Audio has been doing brisk business since it threw its doors open at the end of last year. This weekend sees the Essex hi-fi oasis inviting music fans to experience the full extent of Chord Electronics' current range of products alongside items you won't have seen before across the store's five permanent demo rooms.
The main reference room is where Chord's rarely encountered £150,000+ 'Big-Rig' system will be seen, heard, and, no doubt, felt. Comprising the Ultima Reference Pre and Ultima Reference Monobloc power amps, boasting 780w of pure Chord power on tap, the uncompromising system will be used to drive some equally impressive speakers, so we are told.
The three upstairs demo rooms will feature Ultima Pre 2 and Ultima 3 Monoblocs and various other Chord Electronics products, including their streamers, DACs, upscalers, integrated amps, and portable products such as the excellent Mojo 2. Most will be used for continuous live demos, whilst others will be on rotational static display. This is probably the only occasion this year that you'll be able to see and hear Chord Electronics' entire portfolio of products in one live event.
Furthermore, as a feather in Reference Audio's exceedingly new hat, Chord Electronics will be showing the just-announced Ultima 3 Pre at the Open Day. The new component boasts an entirely fresh design both inside and out and benefits from the latest Chord Electronics preamplifier technologies. Come to the open day and experience it ahead of its official launch at High End Munich!
If you're planning to drive to the event, there's plenty of off-street parking and the gang promise that there'll be great coffee and refreshments waiting for you.
Naturally, you'll also be able to see and hear many of the other products that Reference Audio has on permanent demonstration. Additionally, they'll be firing up the Cinema Room with its 4m screen during the afternoon.
