Old Hifi - New Life at Len Wallis Audio

Len Wallis Audio has been a supporter of the Variety Club of Australia for many years. Variety does marvelous work raising funds for and supporting the underprivileged children of Australia. Through this program, Len Wallis Audio will take your old HiFi gear, test, clean and service it, and then offer it for sale through their second hand department. 100% of the funds realised will be donated to the Variety Club.
Len says "Variety is unlike most charities, which tend to focus on a single problem or have a narrow focus. The issues confronting many of our young children can be varied and numerous, as is their needs. Variety provides essential equipment for individual children suffering one, or a multiple of, 74 different conditions.
They provide vital organizational equipment for children’s intensive care units, emergency transport services, children’s health services and educational services plus 12 seat and 25 seat Sunshine Coaches, and wheelchair Liberty Swings for special needs schools and council parks. They also provide thousands of children with magical experiences through the variety@work program".
Len also says he has had the priveledge of witnessing first hand some of the work that Variety does, and the joy on the faces of the children is something that stays with you for life.
We here at StereoNET Australia think this is a fantastic cause and often perfectly good equipment is simply tossed to the side to make way for new products. Why not have a look under your stairs, in your spare room and garage and see just what you might have to donate.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
