Samsung 2023 Neo QLED 8K and 4K TVs Priced

Samsung has announced its 2023 Neo QLED TV lineup along with its new Q-Series soundbars.
Samsung is focusing on performance, enhanced connectivity, and advanced personalisation for its 2023 telly range and sees the integration of a new Smart Hub feature with each TV in the 2023 Neo QLED range becoming a "central hub for monitoring and controlling the multitude of digital devices in the home," according to Jeremy Senior, Samsung Australia's vice president of consumer electronics. That said, it seems we have to wait a little longer for more details about Samsung's 2023 QD-OLED TVs, which should also be around the corner.
Both the 8K and 4K range benefit from high-resolution panels that automatically apply real-time, scene-by-scene High Dynamic Range (HDR) effects with new Auto HDR Remastering and vow to deliver "extraordinary contrast".
Central to the 2023 range is Samsung's Quantum Mini LED technology that, according to the Korean company, powers up to 33 million pixels and delivers a billion colours. Meanwhile, the brains of the operation is the advanced Neural Quantum Processor, which is in charge of upscaling, amongst other things.
SAMSUNG QN900C NEO QLED 8K TV
Top-billing goes to the flagship of Samsung's updated Neo QLED TV range, the QN900C Neo QLED 8K TV, which is available in 85-, 75-, and 65-inch flavours and sports an "Infinity Display" design that makes the new set virtually bezel and border-free.
Meanwhile, its onboard Neural Quantum processor plays content at its full potential, using AI-based processing to upscale the picture to 8K resolution.
Additionally, the viewing experience is complemented by Dolby Atmos, Object Tracking Sound Pro, Adaptive sound, and Q-Symphony 3.0. The latter allows the TV's speakers to sync up with Samsung's new soundbar range for an even fuller audio experience.
Gamers will appreciate Samsung's Real Game Enhancer alongside a range of built-in game-centric features, including 144Hz refresh rate at resolutions up to 4K, a new Ultrawide Game View, Freesync Premium Pro support, and Samsung Xbox Game Pass app pre-installed.
Pricing for the QN900C starts at AU$7,549 for the 65-inch model, with the 75- and 85-inch versions costing AU$9,879 and AU$12,699, respectively.
SAMSUNG QLED 4K TVs
Not yet tempted into the realms of 8K? Well, Samsung's new range of 4K Neo QLED models may be of more interest as they introduce the QN90C and QN85C. The QN85C range starts at the 55-inch AU$3,149 model, with the 85-incher costing AU$6,999 RRP. Its QN90C stablemate starts with an AU$2,319 43-inch offering and tops out at AU$7,899 RRP for its 85-inch model.
These promise improved 4K performance thanks to 14-bit processing and AI upscaling, as well as clearer imaging from wide viewing angles, even during the daytime. Here Quantum Mini LED technology controls the individual light zones, and we're told to expect "incredible colour accuracy and light control, surreal life-like detail, deep blacks and brilliant contrast".
Colours are validated by the experts at Pantone, while "stellar brightness" is provided by Neo Quantum HDR+.
SAMSUNG Q-SERIES SOUNDBARS
Samsung is also touting its latest Q-Series soundbars headed up by the Q990C. This bar boasts wireless True Dolby Atmos & DTS:X with 11.1.4ch Surround Sound, optimised with Samsung Q-Symphony.
The new iteration of Q-Symphony is said to provide an "evolved paired sound" between the TV and soundbar by way of the soundbar tapping into the TV's Neural Processing Unit to analyse audio signals and process each sound for more detail.
Samsung's 2023 Q-Series lineup is rolling out now and includes Q990C (AU$2,099), Q930C (AU$1,599), Q800C (AU$1,099), Q700C (AU$899) and Q600C (AU$799).
Samsung's 2023 Neo QLED TVs are available now with a starting price of AU$3,149 for the 55-inch QN85 Neo QLED 4K TV, with the flagship 85-inch QN900C Neo QLED 8K TV costing you AU$12,699.

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality.
