Sennheiser Supports Australian Economy

Sennheiser Electronic, the legendary audio-video specialist brand, has committed to Australian consumers with the announcement of the official opening of its new distributorship for Australia and New Zealand to be called Sennheiser Australia Pty Ltd.
In a move that spells more jobs and security of tenure for its workers, Sennheiser has taken over Syntec International who has been the brand’s stalwart distributor in the region. The new trading arrangement puts Sennheiser and its Australian staff in pole position to grow its business in the Asian-Pacific market.
The event was celebrated in style at a grand event held at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo which was attended by more than 200 of Sennheiser’s guests.
To mark the importance of its new strategic move, Sennheiser’s CEOs, Dr. Andreas Sennheiser and Daniel Sennheiser were both on hand at the gala event.
Entertainment was provided by Australian music stars, James Morrison and Craig Calhoun who performed using Sennheiser’s newest D9000 digital technology.
The importance of the new Australian and New Zealand subsidiary was emphasised by Dr. Andreas Sennheiser.
"For 70 years we at Sennheiser have been shaping the audio industry based on our heritage, innovation culture and our passion for excellence. And Australia and New Zealand are a very important market for us. Now we are even better set up to serve our customers in this region,” he said.
Sennheiser Australia Pty Ltd. is the 16th distribution subsidiary for the brand and its creation confirms Sennheiser’s global ethos. The company now trades in more than 60 countries around the globe.
Daniel Sennheiser said: "The positive developments show us that the strategic decision to operate locally using our own subsidiaries is correct. With direct presence in Australia and New Zealand we are well set up for the future and will be able to be even closer and serve our customers with the excellent service and high quality Sennheiser is known for around the globe.“
Sennheiser is well placed to service the region thanks to a mature network of dealerships and sales representatives in Brisbane, Perth, Sydney (headquarters), Melbourne, and Adelaide. The operational office in Auckland (New Zealand) is also fully staffed.
"We have been operating independently as a distribution subsidiary of Sennheiser since September, and already the team's achievements as well as the advantages for our customers are remarkable,” says Bjørn Rennemo Henriksen, Managing Director of Sennheiser Australia Pty Ltd. “Having a deep understanding of the totality of Sennheiser’s capabilities, I see it as a significant part of my role to provide the benefits of Sennheiser’s global presence to each individual customer in Australia and New Zealand."

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
