Sennheiser’s RS 120-W Wireless TV Headphones Coming Soon

Sennheiser's RS 120-W wireless on-ear headphones offer three sound modes for a customised listening experience and improved comfort for boxset binge-watching.

Designed to partner with your TV experience, the new RS 120-W wireless headphones promise crystal-clear audio transmission and undistorted sound thanks to Bluetooth Low Energy tech.

Choose between 'Speech', 'Music' and 'Neutral' sound modes to adjust the soundscape you require while changing the volume independently of the TV by using the control on the headphones' ear cup. Furthermore, for those who like it loud, the volume can be increased up to 100 dB without disturbing anyone.

The RS 120-W's comfortable on-ear design with light ear pads and a soft headband pressure enables Sennheiser to promise all-day wearing comfort, while a battery life of up to 20 hours and 60 meter wireless transmission range adds to the experience.

The transmitter included with Sennheiser's RS 120-W serves as a charging station and transmission centre in one and connects to TVs via RCA or 3.5mm plugs. Set the transmitter in 'Broadcast Mode' and pair the transmitter with multiple sets of headphones so that the sound quality can be enjoyed by several people at the same time.

Finally, to ensure that all receive detailed, balanced, and undistorted sound, the RS 120-W uses advanced LE audio, which enables low-latency audio streaming via Bluetooth Low Energy transmission technology. LE audio includes a new high-quality LC3 audio codec.

The Sennheiser RS 120-W headphones are available for pre-order now and  go on sale August 30th with an RRP of £119.99/ €129.90.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
