The Bristol Hi-Fi Show 2021 Cancelled

The Bristol Show 2021 has been cancelled and could become virtual as we're all told to "watch this space".

We have just had confirmation that The Bristol Hi-Fi Show 2021 has been cancelled.

We first became alerted that the organisers of what is the traditional kick-off point of the hi-fi show calendar for many had cancelled its Facebook events for February 26-28th. Shortly after, we received the disappointing, but sensible, news that The Bristol Hi-Fi Show has been officially cancelled.

The Bristol Hi-Fi Show stated:

Due to the uncertainty surrounding the ongoing pandemic, we have made the difficult decision not to host the Bristol Show 2021. We are currently looking at options to host a virtual event, so watch this space!

We support the show's decision in making the announcement now as we also know how long it takes to put a show together, not only for the host but for the brands and distributors who need to organise travel and all the rest. Additionally, there is all the pre-show news and meetings too.

As well as the possibility of a virtual event, we are assuming that Audio T, the driving force behind what's lovingly called 'The Bristol Show', could well sort out alternative get-togethers in their stores.

While we are sad that we won't be able to catch up with everyone in Bristol as we usually would, we do hope to see you all as soon as it is safe to do so.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
