YAMAHA AVENTAGE RANGE COMING SOON

The great brands have their corporate ear close to the action delivering exactly what consumers want, when they want it.
Japanese legacy brand Yamaha, has been paying close attention to our living rooms and the result is a range of nicely priced, well-finished AV receivers with a little something special its rivals don’t normally have - European tuned sound.
The models receiving this Euro-sonic massage are from Yamaha’s award winning AVENTAGE range. Power up the RX-A770 ($1499 RRP) and the RX-A870 ($1799 RRP) receivers and what you’ll hear is the brand’s legendary pin-point image placement along with a wide frequency range with a slightly warmer than normal tonal palette, for Japanese inspired receivers.
This warmth translates to a discernibly more musical mid-range and that’s where receivers do most of their work.
It’s an ear-pleasing tonal presentation and one it has to be noted also used by cross town rivals Marantz, Rotel and Pioneer who have all dipped into European fine tuning for specific models over the decades.
An approach drawing applause from Western buyers who clamour for more of the same.
To arrive at this European sound, Yamaha employed European audio engineers who in turn have sprinkled European tuned components throughout the receivers’ circuits.
Along with great sound, competitive pricing and superb finish, both receivers are studded with really desirable features. Noteworthy is the inclusion of a DAB+ digital radio, Tidal/Deezer streaming support and Dolby Vision/Hybrid Log Gamma HDR format support (via future firmware update).
The RX-A3070 ($2999 RRP) as befitting a top-of-the line model will have balanced XLR inputs and a state of the art ES9026PRO ESS 32-bit Sabre Pro premiere DAC.
All the receivers support Dolby ATMOS/DTS: X and they have MusicCast, Yamaha’s award winning multi-room audio technology.
Buyers will also get wireless music streaming via Bluetooth both In and out of the receivers, high-resolution audio support and anti-resonance technology wedges to assist in dampening unwanted vibrations.
The AVENTAGE receivers will be available from July and are covered by a four-year warranty with a 12-month replacement policy.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
