Denon Comes Home With New HEOS-Enabled Range of Speakers

Building upon 110 years of hi-fi heritage, Denon has announced it will be introducing its all-new Home range of wireless multi-room speakers in early 2020.
The three speaker models, including Denon Home 150, Denon Home 250, and Denon Home 350 melds clean, modern industrial design with the latest technology and connectivity. According to Denon, “it's never been simpler to set up a stunning multi-room system that sounds like no other.”
All three models in the range feature streaming services including Spotify Free or Premium, Apple Music, Amazon Music HD, TIDAL, TuneIn, Deezer and more via Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2 or Bluetooth. With HEOS built-in, you can also group other HEOS-compatible devices. Home products also work with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri.

High-res audio is no stranger to the Denon Home range, with support for Gapless playback of high-resolution files including 192kHz/24-bit FLAC, WAV, ALAC and DSD 2.8/5.6MHz via Network or rear USB port.
Setup is simple via the free HEOS app, which also allows for stereo pairing when you group two Denon Home products as the left and right channel of a stereo pair.
Denon's all-new design and styling for the Home range features a buttonless panel with a proximity sensor that causes the touch controls to illuminate when your hand moves near. Three or six (depending on the model) Quick Select buttons offer one-press access to your favourite internet radio stations.
Available in both white or black finishes, the range starts with the Denon Home 150 which is the smallest of the trio. Despite its diminutive size and compact footprint, the Denon Home 150 is said to deliver surprisingly impactful sound from its two-way combination of the 3.5-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter.
Stepping up to the Denon Home 250, there's a little more scale and power thanks to a pair of tweeters which are angled for wider sound dispersion and two 4-inch woofers. The speakers are driven by four power amplifiers in a stereo configuration, underpinned by a 5.25-inch passive bass radiator.
The beast of the lineup is the Denon Home 350 which features six channels of amplification feeding two 6.5-inch woofers, a pair of 2-inch mid-range drivers, and two tweeters for what the company claims is the ultimate expression of the Denon sound from a single box.
Price and availability
The Denon Home 150, 250 and 350 is priced at £219, £449 and £599 respectively

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
