Pro-Ject Gets Connected With Four New Cables

Aptly dubbed Connect-It, Pro-Ject's new four-model cable series breaks cover at High End Munich 2024.
Pro-Ject's new cable series starts with the Connect-It E cable. The cable has tin-plated copper shielding, 99.99% OFC copper conductors and gold-plated brass connectors sheathed in transparent PVC.
Pro-Ject's goal for the E cable was to offer a neutral audiophile cable at a reasonable price. The cable is offered in various connectors, including RCA, 5P DIN, mini XLR (f) and mini XLR (m).
Moving to the Connect-It S cable, you get interconnects made in Europe with a thermoplastic elastomer jacket, OFC copper shielding, and OFC copper conductors for the line and phono cables. Here, the chosen dielectric is polyethylene, similar to the Connect-It E.
The LS cable is covered in transparent PVC with an S Jacket and uses four 0.75mm2 bare copper conductors. The Connect-It S cables have gold-plated phosphor-bronze connectors for long-lasting connectivity. Options include RCA, 5P DIN, mini XLR (f), and mini XLR (m).
The Connect-It DS is the third cable in the lineup, made in Europe with more premium materials. The cable is jacketed in a special halogen-free TPE, an OFC copper helix with conductive TPE subjacket shielding and 99.99% OFC copper conductors. The dielectric used for the DS cable is a special flexible cell polyethylene.
The LS cable uses transparent PVC and a DS Jacket, with eight 0.75mm solid-core copper conductors. All connectors in the DS line use silver-plated signal pins, which offer low contact resistance and high conductivity.
The Connect-It RS is the flagship cable, with a halogen-free TPE jacket, silver-plated OFC copper helix shielding with carbon sub-jacket and matched crystal silver conductors. The cables are made in Europe and feature rhodium-plated copper signal pins covered by a non-conductive carbon housing. The dielectric used for the RS cable is the same flexible cell polyethylene seen in the DS cable.
High-purity OCC copper is produced using a vertical vacuum continue casting technique and is used in the Connect-It RS LS speaker cable in a four-core configuration.
Prices for the Connect-It E start at £45/ €29.90, Connect-It S, £85/ €79.90, and Connect-It DS cables start from £179/ €139. Finally, Connect-It RS cables start from €499 (we are awaiting GBP pricing), and all cables will be available at Pro-Ject dealers starting May 2024.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
