Crystal Cube: The Work of Art

Sim2's Crystal Cube, the 'best-seller' hand-made projector from Italy is available once more in Australia from distributors Audio Active.
Sim2, founded in Italy in 1995 designs and manufactures award-winning cinema and home theatre SLP-based projectors and high performance large screen systems.
Releasing the "Cube" early this year, production units sold out world wide and it has become a much sough after prize. "We're very pleased to have received stock of the Crystal Cube and look forward to sharing this great product with Australian consumers", Paul Clarke, General Manager Sales & Marketing for Australian distributor, Audio Active, told StereoNET.
The “CUBE” earned its worldwide best-seller status not just as a projector with its excellent technical characteristics (brightness, picture quality, fast power on/off, 3D Performance etc.), but mostly for its positioning as the only hand-built, Italian-made projector that looks as good in the OFF position as when it is ON. An interior design complement; An appliance that is unobtrusive yet mysterious and elegant; An object of desire that transcends the technology of which it’s made.
No visible vents, plugs, switches to suggest that anything else other than a design feature of the modern or classic environment is integrated within, highlighting with its stark black or white glass cabinet the unnecessary intrusion of a large flat panel TV. A minimalist dream!
The Crystal Cube is available in two crystal-glass cabinet colours: black or white with optional matching colour brackets. It is available now with a RRP of $5.999

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
